Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma

Founded in 1963, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma is the state's official theater and largest live professional theatre company. Serving over 100,000 people annually, it operates out of two major OKC venues: the historic Plaza Theatre in the Plaza District and the grand Civic Center Music Hall in downtown OKC. Employing over 250 local and national artists each year, Lyric is a cornerstone business in the Plaza District and brings massive foot traffic to downtown OKC through large-scale summer productions and holiday shows. Through the Thelma Gaylord Academy, Lyric provides top-tier performing arts training for youth, while the Musical Interactive outreach program tours adapted musicals to schools statewide. Lauded by USA Today as one of the "10 great places to see the lights way off Broadway," it has nurtured world-renowned talent originating from Oklahoma, including Kristin Chenoweth, Megan Mullally, and Kelli O'Hara.
