Route 66 Centennial Celebration
at the 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World ChampionshipsConnecting Oklahoma to the World | 100 years of the Mother Road
Celebrating a Century of America’s Mother Road
In 2026, one of America’s most legendary highways turns 100 — and we’re throwing a party to match. Route 66, the Mother Road, stretches from Chicago to Santa Monica, weaving through small towns, big cities, and unforgettable landscapes. Oklahoma is proud to claim the largest stretch of this historic highway, and during the 2026 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, we’ll bring its spirit to life in the heart of OKC.
From vintage cars to classic tunes, from road trip food to local lore, this centennial celebration is a once-in-a-lifetime journey through the past, present, and future of Route 66.
